Organic, Pure CocoSoy Wax

CocoSoy is used in our candles unless otherwise stated. These burn long, clean, and do not pollute the environment. Being 100% organic they are also vegan, eco-friendly and a renewable resource. CocoSoy is soot free and has a clean burn; they do not coat the walls of your home. CocoSoy is not toxic, carcinogen free and environmentally sustainable  These are healthy candles that are great to use to light or melt.

We use zinc core wicks on our 3 ounc and bakery candles due to safer burning qualities.  We use wooden wicks for all others.

 

Heavily Scented

We scent our wax items x 6--this means we use six times the scent as the average (for many commercial brands). CocoSoy retains scent, lasting longer. While most 8 ounce candles burn for approximately 45 hours, ours last over 60.  The other candles may be less expensive, but so many do not last.  It is a better financial decision to pay a little more money for a lot more candle.

 

Community Development

We donate profits from Special Scents to a local nonprofit learning center for IDD (Intellectually Developmentally Delayed) clients over 18 years of age. We support their family needs, advocacy,  and other special needs.

We have added an additional nonprofit donation Collection called Reformation Road which donates to a separate nonprofit program. Please read about this community support group on our blog.

 

Handmade Items Matter

Our items are handmade and in small numbers. We do not make large amounts of products at once.  When a producer only does "small batching" it maintains the integrity and fidelity of the items.  Large batching can easily interrupt  the ingredient perscentages allowing more room for error.  Mass producing an item may take away from the uniqueness.
